Nen is 9

"Will he be a sheep or a monkey?" Nen's due date was 1/19/2004, and the 22nd marked the beginning of the year of the monkey. Our dear Nen came to the world to be a monkey like you. All of us parents marvel at the speed our little children's lives develop. One day we worry about when to start feeding them "solids" and the next day they are entering Kindergarten. Or so it seems to us. In my case the difference is so much more marked: One day we are celebrating Nen's second birthday with daddy, the next year we have to reinvent ourselves because daddy is gone.

There are lots of memories from nine years ago when we got to meet this dear son of ours. I must have posted them here before, so I won't today. I will just say that today nine years ago we embarked together on a project I was deemed to finish by myself, and I hope to always get your inspiration, because you were the best dad in the world.
