Today 1 year ago... there was hope
June 1st, you, my love were hooked to a ventillator before my broken heart and my crying eyes.
June 2nd, you were dying, "dying for sure in the next few hours. His CO2 is too high, 80", the doctor said, "I'd suggest you disconnect him from life support."
- "Steroids?" I asked.
- "It won't help," she said.
After a rollercoaster night, we got you the steroids. "24 hours", they said, "if he doesn't improve, that's it." 24 hours later your blood levels went back to normal.
- "It's a miracle," said the nurse, "I've never seen the CO2 level go from so high to normal."
I knew you had come back to life before they knew it, because you told me "I love you" in a way you wouldn't have been able to the day before. I will never forget that "I love you". I described it in my book, the book I'm writing for our Nen.
Today was a wonderful, wonderful day...
