Wedding anniversary

(Written at 7:30 pm on 12/28/2013)

Today, unlike twelve years ago, the weather was very nice, even warm for this time of the the year. I happened to be in San Francisco to chaperone a visitor and in a church on our route, I saw a couple of newly weds coming out. The church was "Saint Peter and Saint Paul." There was a "prayer book" and I wrote about us. My prayer was that these newly weds could have the many years that you and I didn't get to have.

Yesterday I watched a movie that reminded me of one I watched with you and my mom years ago. My mom was visiting and in order to entertain her, I signed up for a free trial with netflix. Among them, "Nine queens," Argentinean. it was about playing cards, con artists, tricks... it was very hard for me to follow, easier for my mom. You impressed me because even though you needed to read the English subtitles, you knew from the beginning of the movie what was going to happen. So smart! Yesterday's movie was "American Hustle" and it was also hard to follow, but I smiled thinking it would be piece of cake for you.

I am looking forward to reach home and hug Nen. I hope to be able to tell him about our anniversary... in a way that it doesn't hurt him, that is. I know--I'll tell him the Nine Queens story. I think he'll like it.

Happy 12th anniversary, love!
