17th one more time
Two years ago at this time, we were in Europe, in what would be our last international trip. We flew to London a week ago, spent two days in Lourdes, and the rest of the week in London. At this time we were landing in Madrid, where we would be other ten days before returning to California.
It was a great trip, other than for the fact that Lourdes didn't work very well this time... I still loved being there with Nen and you, walking through the greenness of Southern France, praying for hope.
London was fun, our tiny but very central hotel room, our visits to the museums, seeing jet-lagged Nen fall asleep on the table of the Pizza place, fighting for his bottle at the airport, touring the Big Ben, the Covent Garden, Westminster Abby; watching Nen hunt pigeons at Trafalgar Square.
Beautiful memories... so distant, but oh, so real.
Today sixteen months ago, against your will, you left us.
We love you and we miss you,
