First part draft
I just finished writing the draft of the first part of my book. The last sentence (which refers to December 21, 2001) was:
Dinner with friends… presents… finally something felt like Christmas.
I've been working on this part since March. I have written 333 pages, 88,521 words, and worked hundreds of hours.
Now I'm going to finish reading a book about style: "Sin and syntax", by Constance Hale. I started reading it long ago, but then I got caught up with the writing, and just couldn't get out of it. Then I will work on this part to complete it and correct it. I hope I'm productive while my parents are here, since I'll have more time.
I wish you were here to help me remember, because my memory sometimes fails me. I mean...
I wish you were here with me.
I love you.
