Mahi-mahi for our anniversary

Today is a 28th, one of those beautiful days that the month has, like the 10th or the 12th.

I did it unaware, but I bought mahi-mahi today, which was one of Archie's favorite catches in Hawaii. Then, when it was time to cook it (for dinner), it hit me: we are going to have mahi-mahi for our anniversary...

We were in Kauai for the first time in September 2004, when Nen was 7 months. He would crawl all over the place, it was an amazing vacation. Once he was in bed, we would grill our fish from the local fish market.

The second time it was for the Fourth of July the following year, and it was just as good. Nen was not crawling anymore (he was 17 months!), but something interesting happened too: he started talking up a storm. On that trip he said "si" for the first time (up until then "no" was his preferred option), and he started learning 8-10 words a day, it was amazing! And at night, just like the year before, we would have our grilled fish at night.

Tonight, after dinner, Nen and I watched all the short videos of Hawaii. We loved doing it.

Aaah, those memories... Amor, you were the best!
